The studio features a wide array of Meinl cymbals, handmade in Turkey. Their relatively low volume makes controlling bleed easier, while their complex tones give them a beautiful top end (especially under the RN17s!). The only thing more important than great instruments is a great performance, and these cymbals have a great feel that bring out the best performance in any style. They consistently receive great feedback from drummers - they are truly a joy to play!

The goal with this guitar was simple: perfect clean tones. Each spec was chosen with that in mind, from the rosewood fingerboard to the DiMarzio Ionizer pickups. These pickups were use on Animals as Leaders' The Joy of Motion, featuring my all time favorite cleans.

This is the big brother in the 8 string duo. While #1 covers strat-style sounds, this guitar is based around a Gibson style sound. The Bareknuckle Polymath pickups offer punchy, dynamic aggression that suits anything from classic rock to modern metal.

Any recording engineer knows that speaker cabs play a huge role in guitar tone. This cab is something special, with a WGS Veteran30 and a Celestion V Type, it is the go-to choice for clean tones, and is well suited for rock tones requiring less aggression and smooth top end.

Another piece of gear that requires almost no introduction - the Mesa OS 4x12. It defined the sound of metal, and offers aggression and depth like no other cab. After years of speaker hunting, this cab now contains a golden-era Celestion V30 (from 2002), a WGS Veteran30, a Celestion Classic Lead 80, and a Celestion V Type.

This amp is a workhorse. All Friedmans have a distinct character, but this model in particular is one of the most versatile amps in existence. The plexi channel covers cleans and rock tones, while the HBE and BE channels deliver a tight and bloomy metal sound.
